Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how reTEQ Inc. ("reTEQ," "we," "us") collects, uses and shares information when you use reteq.ai, the reTEQ AI Broker application, and related services (the "Services"). It also applies to people who are invited into a reTEQ deal ("Deal Room guests"), such as buyers, sellers, escrow officers and lenders, even if they do not have a reTEQ account.

Information we collect

  • Account information: name, email address, phone number, brokerage, role and login details.

  • Content you provide: questions you ask, answers we generate, notes, uploaded brokerage documents, and forms you fill or send for signature.

  • Transaction information: property addresses, key contract dates, deal status, and the names, email addresses and phone numbers of people on a deal, entered by a brokerage user or by the person themselves.

  • Mobile phone number and text-message consent, if you opt in to receive texts.

  • Usage and device information: pages viewed, features used, browser type, IP address and approximate location, collected through cookies and similar technologies.

  • Information from others: your brokerage, your transaction management system if your brokerage connects it, and e-signature status from our e-signature provider.

How we use information

  • To provide the Services: answer questions, build deal timelines, fill forms, route documents for signature, and send notifications you asked for.

  • To send texts and emails about transactions you are part of, only where you have consented to texts.

  • To support, secure and improve the Services, including troubleshooting and preventing fraud or misuse.

  • To communicate with you about your account, billing and changes to our terms.

  • To meet legal obligations, including record-keeping a brokerage may be required to maintain.

We do not sell personal information. We do not use your content to advertise to you.

Text messaging (SMS)

If you opt in to text messages, we use your mobile number only to send the messages you agreed to receive. Mobile numbers and SMS opt-in consent are never shared with, sold to, or rented to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text-message originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties, except service providers that deliver the messages for us (such as our SMS provider). You can opt out at any time by replying STOP.

How we share information

  • With your brokerage: brokerage administrators and designated brokers can see deals, conversations and forms within their brokerage, as described in our Terms.

  • With people on your deal: information in a deal is visible to its team and, for Deal Room guests, only within the channel they were invited to.

  • With service providers who process data on our behalf under contract: cloud hosting and database (Supabase, Fly.io, Vercel), AI processing (Anthropic, Voyage AI, OpenAI), e-signature (DocuSign), text messaging (Twilio), email (Google Workspace) and our website host (Squarespace). AI provider's terms prohibit training on our data.

  • For legal reasons: to comply with law, legal process or government requests, or to protect the rights, property or safety of reTEQ, our users or others.

  • In a business transfer: if reTEQ is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.

AI features

Your questions and related content are sent to our AI service providers to generate answers. AI output can be wrong; verify it before relying on it, as our Terms explain.

Data retention

We keep information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Services, keep transaction records your brokerage requires, resolve disputes and meet legal obligations. We maintain a three year retention period. You can ask us to delete your information, subject to records we or your brokerage must keep.

Security

We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards, including encryption in transit and access controls. No system is completely secure.

Your choices

  • Texts: reply STOP to any message to opt out, or HELP for help.

  • Email: use the unsubscribe link in non-transactional emails.

  • Access, correction and deletion: email support@reteq.ai. We will verify your request and respond within a reasonable time.

  • Cookies: you can block cookies in your browser; some features may not work.

Children

The Services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes

We may update this Policy. If changes are material, we will post a notice on the Site or notify you by email before they take effect.
